Just wow! Thanks to the devs for this game, it is filling the hole in my gaming life that has been empty for a very long time. I've tried tons of games over the past year or so, finally a game that can stay on my HD. It seems that somewhere along the way, game developers decided to just try and make things look good instead of deliver on gameplay. Darkout is one of the first games to break that cycle, and they still managed to make it look good!

Immersion, mental stimulation, challenging encounters, creative freedom, and just plain fun all in one package. You guys blew me away with this game! I've only encountered a couple small bugs so far as well, which I've posted in the relevant forum sections. Rest assured I will continue to help find them, as well as leave suggestions for improving the game. 2 thumbs up!

That's putting it mildly morefire31. I haven't even thought about playing another game since I started Darkout lol. This is just after the Steam Summer Sale where I just got a ton of new games that I hadn't even tried yet. That's fine, they can wait haha!

I am so hooked, I play hours and hours each day every chance I get to sit and play it. The farther I get and the more I discover, even more and more I love this game! Man I am so looking forward to multiplayer! I'm working on a song dedicated to Darkout, can't wait until it's done so I can share it with everyone

Someone actually wrote a song also and it was amazing, One would think it should be in the game (my opinion), I actually play this game the most, it's so easy to get into even when I get frustrated with it. This game just feels right and it's the kind of game genre I love other than rpg's and xcom type games (forgot the genre)

The genre you are talking about is strategy right? Speaking of X-Com, being new to the series I actually liked the Enemy Unknown game a lot. I think it may have been 'toned down' from how complex previous iterations were, but I found it fun being new to the games.

there is a game called xenonauts that's xcoms baby, but I don't think the price matches the game, if it was 10 to 15 dollars I would buy it, but graphically it's not interesting

I bought xenonouts a while ago when it when it first appeared on steam, been following it for years now. I think its worth the extra 5 dollars.

It is incredibly faithful to the old Xcom, although the enemies just don't have the same "oomph" yet. My problem is that I own the new XCom and that game is digital *****. Talk about wanting "1 more turn!". Plus you get mightily attached to your troops, who will probably die (horribly).

But honestly I am really into the sandbox genre right now. Can't wait for this game to get it's final release, and I'm also waiting on Starbound **drool**
I've been playing Terraria a bit when this game is bugged for me (like now), especially since the new patch and the fact that it's being supported again.

I do prefer this game to Terraria, but the only thing I really miss from that game are NPCs. I now that isolation is part of the atmosphere but it would kinda be nice to have one or two other survivors you can take in or kick out and leave to the mercy of the shadow beast!
