After looking hours in the dark for any survivors with no success, I came across an abandoned city. I decided I would build a beacon of hope for all to see miles across.
The work has been long and hard and nowhere near finished but the foundations are there and it keeps "them" at bay, even though I still hear there cry's in the sewer or scratching near the door.
I barely sleep and eat and the silence in these halls is unbearable... if only I could find another soul.

    Looks good!

I've been mining out some ruins and have been seriously considering moving my home base over :)

The only thing that scares me is if/when generators start requiring fuel.... It will be dark and scary nights when the lights go out!

You're right, I have to build a panic room with (Goo) lanterns where I can run to when everything goes dark! If they ever make the creatures able to destroy doors by then, I'm going to have a bad time :p

one thing for sure, after the last patch you won't need so many generators lol, i run my whole base on 3 fusion devices now, with plenty of power to spare

I have no idea, my power gauge is fluctuating from full to empty with 6 fusion devices and 17 generators now. Maybe I'm overproducing so much now it doesn't know what to do. :p

i dumped all my wiring, then all the generators, then redid the wiring, and finally hooked up 2 fusion devices, they had no problem pulling the whole thing at that time, i also try to avoid using the loose hanging wires, i did too much electrical work in rl to not want to choke someone with loose wiring when i see it :D, so what you trying to survive, that ain't no reason not to use a bloody zip tie :), and the conduits look so much better anyway, and i can shuffle stuff around without having to reconnect things all the time. :)

Nice Base ... only thing that allways look out of place are the wooden plattforms ... i need stairs that i can build in the background or an other elevator type ... sure the sled looks okay but i want one i need to build a shaft for and that can go up and down looooooong ways for my mining operations / skyscraper ... =3

Edit: My high-rise building gets censored ? Baaad bad me :p

i only use platforms to restrict critter movement thru my base, jetpack all the way :) Darkout already said they got platforms from other materials in the works, all we have to do is not break the game so much, so they don't have to fix so much stuff and can focus on new things :)

The poor Devs ... i am a perfectionist when it comes about my bases ... if my base doesnt look good i am unhappy :D . They doing a good job with the base items but i really liked to see some stairs and more elevator stuff

Yeah, I'm sure it's all coming up. Since I bought the game I have been very impressed with the pace at which the devs are improving the game.

Don't panic - just build an entrance to your panic room from the below with a wood/stone hatch!
The way how to get there is upon to you!

Yes, I have to say I'm loving the new hatches. Finally I can have roof access without having to dig up the wall/look silly!

    Hi folks,
we are filming stuff for the next trailer, and we really want to show bases and structures generated by you in the game. Will be great if you can share your bases with me/us (via PM) or posting the link in this thread, its very probable that we will use them for the next Darkout Official trailer, and also you will be credited on it.

You can find your saved world at:
    C:\Users\*UsernameHere*\Documents\My Games\Darkout\Worlds

Deadline: this Sunday night, because we are going to release the trailer next week :)

    Cheers!
